Water-soluble organic compound important in animal metabolism. Most animals produce it in their bodies, but humans, other primates, and guinea pigs need it in the diet to prevent scurvy.
 could soon be as simple as getting dressed in the morning. That's if you sport the Fuji Fuji (f`jē), city (1990 pop. 222,490), Shizuoka prefecture, S central Honshu, Japan, on Suruga Bay.  Spinning Company's new vitamin C-soaked T-shirt, which hits stores in early 2002. It's made from a fiber containing a chemical called pro-vitamin, which turns into vitamin C when it interacts with chemicals on your skin. One T-shirt provides about as much vitamin C as two lemons and lasts up to 30 washes. Prefer to eat your vitamins?
