Gordon Murley, president of the Woodland Hills Homeowners Organization, said his group would rather see the parcel remain an industrial site.

The fate of the existing Good Guys store in Woodland Hills has not yet been decided, Good Guys officials said. It's located on Topanga Boulevard, a block south of Victory Boulevard.

J.H. Snyder Co. also developed the Granada Hills Marketplace, at the intersection of Chatsworth Street and Zelzah Avenue. The 200,000-square-foot strip mall cost $40 million to develop. It opened in May with a Ralphs, OfficeMax, Orchard Supply Hardware and other stores.

Snyder also is building three six-story office buildings in Burbank encompassing 585,000 square feet. The property is scheduled to open in 1999.

The real estate developer began as a home builder when it incorporated in 1949. In the last 15 years, the privately held firm diversified into commercial office buildings and branched into retail construction only six years ago.
