 chief Lorenzo di Bonaventura Lorenzo di Bonaventura (b. 1957) is an American producer. He spent the 1990s as an executive at Warner Bros. Pictures, eventually rising to President of Worldwide Production. His tenure at Warner Bros. included discovering and shepherding The Matrix into production.  to the newly created position of executive vice president of worldwide motion pictures, the studio announced Wednesday.

Di Bonaventura, previously president of worldwide production, will be the gatekeeper In an H.323 IP telephony or video environment, a gatekeeper is a device that manages domains and provides call control. It is used to translate user names into IP addresses, to authenticate users and to manage network resources.  for all of the creative elements for films produced by or with Warner Bros. but will be relieved of some of the day-to-day responsibilities in those areas. He will now also oversee film marketing, spearheading the studio's plan to better integrate its production and marketing efforts.

In related executive moves, Jeff Robinov was named president of domestic production and Steve Papazian president of physical production. Both Robinov and Papazian will report to di Bonaventura, as will Warner Bros. Pictures' Domestic Marketing division, which is led by Dawn Taubin.

The studio had its biggest box office year ever last year, passing the $1 billion mark for only the second time in its history on the strength of the phenomenal success of ``Harry Potter A potter is someone who makes pottery.

``2001 was the best year in the history of Warner Bros. Pictures and 2002 is well on its way to being another record-breaking year,'' Horn said in a statement. ``These changes not only recognize the extraordinary contributions Lorenzo, Jeff, Steve and Dawn have made to this success, but also put in place a structural shift that recognizes and takes advantage of the critically important organic connection between development, production, post-production and marketing.''

Warner Bros. scored most recently with the live-action version of ``Scooby-Doo'' surprising the industry with a stellar $54.1 million opening weekend. The film had earned $137.5 million as of last weekend. Another surprisingly solid top 10 performer is ``The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood is a novel written by Rebecca Wells. It is the sequel to Little Altars Everywhere. Unlike its predecessor, which is a series of short stories, Divine Secrets is a novel. ,'' which has earned more than $60 million so far.

Robinov, who joined Warner Bros. in 1997, takes charge of the majority of the day-to-day development process for feature films produced or co-produced by the studio, with the creative production staff and the story department reporting to him.

Papazian has had a 34-year career at Warner Bros. He is in charge of physical production and fiscal aspects of all films produced or co-produced by the studio including budgeting, production and post production.
