 ACTION
ITEM: Deadline for initiation of coverage arrangements
Plans are moving forward for Walt Disney World activities in celebration of National Children's Day.
Local social service agencies working in conjunction with Children's Defense Fund and The Walt Disney Company have completed the selection of the 6,500 deserving children from "disadvantaged backgrounds" who'll be participating in special parties at Walt Disney World Resort. The children are from a 37-state area in the South, East and Midwest.
If you plan to cover the children's visit, we need to get your arrangements for credentials, technical assistance and travel initiated. We need to hear from you by Thursday, Oct. 28. Even if you are not 100 percent sure about your plans, keep in mind that they'll be easier to alter than to initiate later.
You should have received information concerning the event a couple of weeks ago. Included in the package was a brief form which we invited you to complete, indicating your plans for coverage.
If you still have the form: simply complete and fax it to 407-363-3705.
If you have misplaced the form: call 407-363-3700.
If you have additional questions about the children's visit, call Walt Disney World Press & Publicity at 407-934-7500.
