 WALLCOVERINGS GROUP REJOINS COLLINS & AIKMAN
 NEW YORK, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Wickes Companies (AMEX: WIXPrA)


has announced that effective immediately its Collins & Aikman Wallcoverings Group will become part of its Collins & Aikman Textile Group, which is headed by Thomas E. Hannah. The move in effect restores Collins & Aikman's reporting structure to the form observed before the company was purchased by Wickes in 1986.
 The announcement was made jointly by James Birle and Robert McKeon, Wickes Co-Chairmen, who noted that Hannah has served as President and CEO of Collins & Aikman's textile operations since 1989.
 Collins & Aikman is a major producer of specialty textiles for automotive, home furnishings and industrial markets. The C&A Wallcoverings Group, led by Imperial and Kinney Wallcoverings, is among the nation's leading producers and distributors of residential and commercial wall coverings.
