The American Heart Walk is open to corporations, schools, churches, families and individuals, with T-shirts, jackets, vests, watches and cameras to be awarded to those who raise pledge dollars. Proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association's ongoing research and education programs dedicated to the continuing battle against America's number one killers - heart disease and stroke. More than 1,000 participants and spectators participated last year, raising more than $50,000 for the Heart Association.
