WALES: Brutal killers of O'Malleys lose appeal; Relatives welcome Spanish ruling.

TWO men convicted of kidnapping and murdering a North Wales North Wales (known in some archaic texts as Northgalis) is the northernmost unofficial region of Wales, bordered to the south by Mid Wales and to the east by England.  couple house hunting in Spain will almost certainly die in jail after they lost their appeal.

The brutal killings five years ago of Linda O'Malley, 55, and her husband Anthony, 42, from Llangollen, sent shock waves across the Spanish Costas.

Cold-blooded conman Jorge Real Sierra, 57, and his brotherin- law Jose Antonio Velazquez Gonzalez, 41, were both jailed for a total of 54 years and six months by a judge at Alicante Criminal Court last May.

They were convicted of first degree murder, kidnapping, extortion, stealing the British couple's hire car, falsifying an official document and misappropriation misappropriation n. the intentional, illegal use of the property or funds of another person for one's own use or other unauthorized purpose, particularly by a public official, a trustee of a trust, an executor or administrator of a dead person's estate, or by any .

Real Sierra was also locked up for a further seven years and six months for forgery, fraud and illegal possession of a firearm.

The pair appealed against their convictions and lengthy jail sentences but they were dismissed by the Spanish Supreme Court Anthony O'Malley's brother, Bernard, said last night: "This is really good news. At last it is all over and we in the family can now get on with our lives."

The O'Malleyswere searching for a home in the sun when they were lured to a villa in September 2002 by the men.

The pair kidnapped the couple when they went to view a house at Alcoy, just inland from Benidorm, they saw advertised in an English language English language, member of the West Germanic group of the Germanic subfamily of the Indo-European family of languages (see Germanic languages). The bodies of Linda and Anthony O'Malley were found buried under the concrete floor of the house six months later in March, 2003.

The grim discovery came after Real Sierra tried to trick distraught relatives back in Britain into paying him to "negotiate the release" of Mr and Mrs O'Malley.
