W. P. Carey acquired the facility on behalf of its affiliated income generating real estate fund Corporate Property Associates 16--Global. Corinthian Colleges will lease the properties under two separate 20-year leases with four, ten-year renewal options.

CRESA Partners represented Corinthian Colleges, Inc. in structuring the sale-leaseback transactions. In addition, CRESA Partners provided the outsourced real estate services for Corinthian.

Anne Coolidge Taylor, a managing director at W. P. Carey, said, "This financing offers an excellent example of how the sale-leaseback can be used to expand a company's business. As a result of this transaction, Corinthian will be able to offer its tudents additional living accommodations, which will help attract students from around the globe."
