A 2006 U.S.  during March 30-April 1 to meet the new technology needs of the rapidly expanding home theater An audio/video entertainment center that has a large-screen TV and hi-fi system with three speakers in the front (left, right and center) and left and right speakers in the rear. Starting in the early 1990s, video inputs were added to stereo receivers and preamplifiers.  market.

"Vision XFT is unique to the home theater market," said Howard Sinkoff, president of Vutec Corporation, "by offering viewers a flat-fixed, horizontal masking system for anamorphic lens A movie camera lens that horizontally squeezes a wide screen image into a standard 35mm frame. When projected, an anamorphic lens stretches the 35mm frame horizontally and fills a wide screen. This lens allowed the movie industry to make wide screen films with the same 35mm equipment.  projectors that can maintain constant vertical height for all three standard aspect ratios -- while eliminating the shadows that plague curved screen systems."

Vision XFT achieves this optimum viewing experience by being designed by Vutec to leave no space between the masking panels and projection screen.

Equally important, Vision XFT is able to maintain constant image height for 4:3 NTSC (National TV Standards Committee) The committee that developed the television standards for the U.S, which are also used in Canada, Japan, South Korea and several Central and South American countries. Both the committee and the standard are called "NTSC.  TV, 16:9 HDTV (High Definition TV) A set of digital television (DTV) standards that offer the highest resolution and sharpest picture. Although some HDTV sets are available in standard (rather square) screen sizes, the overwhelming majority of sets are wide screen, which eliminates , and 2.35:1 CinemaScope aspect ratios through an intelligent motor control system that has been electronically integrated into the product by Vutec engineers. This innovation ensures that the vertical masking panels will achieve the perfect aspect ratio with each viewing experience.

Vutec also made the system fully compatible with control panel interfaces from AMX AMX American Motors Experimental
AMX Aeromexico Aerovias de Mexico (ICAO code)

, Crestron, Lexicon and other manufacturers. In addition, Vutec has engineered Vision XFT to use the company's IR6 infrared interface adaptor, allowing users to more conveniently and inexpensively control the system via a learnable IR remote. Finally, the Vision XFT ships fully assembled for immediate installation.

"Home theater owners are now demanding their highly sophisticated projectors be matched by an equally sophisticated video projection screen that can accommodate the widest variety of viewing options -- but without the costs of exorbitant add-on systems," commented Kevin Baisley, Vutec's vice president of sales and marketing. "Vutec's engineering staff has met that need with Vision XFT."

Home theater owners using Vision XFT have a wide range of screen fabrics to choose among, starting with Vutec's patented SilverStar(TM) and its unique gain of 6.0, 180 degree off-axis viewing, no color shift, ambient light rejection, increased contrast, and bright, vivid colors.

Other Vutec screen fabrics available for Vision XFT include BriteWhite Opaque (1.5 gain), PearlBrite (3.1 gain), GreyDove (0.95 gain), SoundScreen (0.95 gain) and Rear-Vu (2.5 gain).

"No other company is offering this all-inclusive product for the home market," stated Sinkoff. "Quite simply, Vision XFT gives people the option of creating a 'one-touch' home theater experience."

Vutec will be demonstrating its Vision XFT system at Booth #1318 in Orlando using Runco International's VX-2C projector outfitted with Runco's exclusive CineWide(TM) and AutoScope(TM) technology.
