Vulcan and Koch Announce Asphalt Marketing Venture in Alabama.

Vulcan Asphalt Co. and Koch Materials Co. have agreed to form a new company, Vulcan-Koch Asphalt Marketing, LLC, to market asphalt products in the state of Alabama.

The venture, doing business as Koch Asphalt Solutions - Alabama, will market asphalt cement, polymer-modified asphalt and a variety of asphalt emulsions from Vulcan's terminal and production facility in Cordova, Alabama.

"The new company's focus will be on providing the quality, reliable products our customers demand," said Mike Kolos from Vulcan Asphalt.

The company will continue to market the asphalt products previously sold by Vulcan, as well as products from the Koch Pavement Solutions(R) family of branded products.

Vulcan Asphalt Company has marketed a full range of paving asphalts and emulsion products in Alabama for the past 50 years. The terminal is ideally located on the Warrior River and includes both truck racks and barge facilities.
