Vulcan and Koch Announce Asphalt Marketing Venture in Alabama.

WICHITA, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 3, 2001

Vulcan Asphalt Co. and Koch Materials Co. have agreed to form a new company, Vulcan-Koch Asphalt Marketing, LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

The venture, doing business as Koch Asphalt Solutions - Alabama, will market asphalt cement, polymer-modified asphalt and a variety of asphalt emulsions from Vulcan's terminal and production facility in Cordova, Alabama Cordova is a city in Walker County, Alabama, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 2,423. Geography

The company will continue to market the asphalt products previously sold by Vulcan, as well as products from the Koch Pavement Solutions(R) family of branded products.

Vulcan Asphalt Company has marketed a full range of paving asphalts and emulsion products in Alabama for the past 50 years. The terminal is ideally located on the Warrior River and includes both truck racks and barge facilities.
