Vulcan Engineering, Planet celebrate plant expansion.An open house was held by Planet Corp in late October to celebrate the completion of its plant expansion in Sunfield, MI. The addition nearly doubles the plant's facilities and capabilities. It also has allowed the engineering and administrative offices to move from Lansing, MI, to the expanded Sunfield site. When Planet was acquired a year ago by Vulcan Engineering Co, Helena, AL, a decision was made to expand the manufacturing plant and relocate re·lo·cate v. re·lo·cat·ed, re·lo·cat·ing, re·lo·cates v.tr. To move to or establish in a new place: relocated the business. v.intr. the engineering and administrative offices. With the extra space, Planet has been able to add equipment so that it can increase its manufacturing and engineering capabilities to better serve its customers.
