Vredestein Vredestein Banden B.V. is a Dutch manufacturer of tyres for cars, commercial vehicles, tractors, motorcycles and bicycles. The company is independent of other large tyre manufacturers and describes itself as "middle-sized".  Rubber Resources, Maastricht, The Netherlands, has restructured and now encompasses the following business units: Vredestein Rubber Recycling recycling, the process of recovering and reusing waste products—from household use, manufacturing, agriculture, and business—and thereby reducing their burden on the environment.  b.v., Maastricht; Vredestein Compounds, Renkum, The Netherlands; Vredestein Jakobs n.v., Lommel, Belgium; and Vredestein S.A. Recycling, South Africa South Africa, Afrikaans Suid-Afrika, officially Republic of South Africa, republic (2005 est. pop. 44,344,000), 471,442 sq mi (1,221,037 sq km), S Africa. .
