Voyetra Introduces AudioSurgeon MP3 Editing Software; New Title Allows Digital Music Editing at an Affordable Price.

Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

YONKERS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 24, 2002

Voyetra, the number one publisher of music software in 2001(1), today has begun shipping AudioSurgeon(TM), a new product that allows anyone with a PC to edit MP3, Windows Media Microsoft's audio and video framework for Windows, which embraces playback, encoding and streaming. Windows Media Player is the digital jukebox and media player that comes with every version of Windows. (TM), and WAV format files.

"As downloading, recording and listening to digital music has become more and more popular, there's been a missing component -- the ability to manipulate those songs and customize their listening experience," said Seth Dotterer, Director of Marketing of Voyetra. "AudioSurgeon lets you digitally record songs to your PC hard drive, then view the music as a graphical waveform showing every peak and valley in the sound. A user can zoom in and change every nuance, for example, removing lengthy applause from a live performance, and then burn it back to CD. Previously, digital music fans had to pay hundreds of dollars for software to be able to accomplish this. With a suggested price of just $39.95, AudioSurgeon makes it affordable."

Vinyl can scratch and cassettes can break or lose their magnetic particles over time, but AudioSurgeon's tools allow a user to remove pops, clicks, and hiss from the original recordings and then convert them into digital audio files. With simple cut-and-paste operations, anyone can mix music and voice-overs to create professional-sounding audio clips to enhance videos, PowerPoint(R) presentations and other applications.

AudioSurgeon also features the ability to create sample loops for drums, rhythm parts, voices and more. The software's loop control feature allows users to edit even the finest nuances of audio files with pinpoint precision, then import the finished sample into a sequencer See MIDI sequencer.
