Florida Gov. Jeb Bush John Ellis "Jeb" Bush (born February 11, 1953) is an American politician, and was the 43rd Governor of Florida as well as the first Republican to be re-elected to that office. He is a prominent member of the Bush family: the younger brother of current President George W.  has pushed for voucher programs even after the state Supreme Court in January discarded the nation's first statewide voucher program, saying it violated a constitutional prohibition on spending state money on private schools.

Meanwhile, students displaced by hurricanes Katrina and Rita last summer will receive federal support via aid to public schools, rather than school vouchers school vouchers, government grants aimed at improving education for the children of low-income families by providing school tuition that can be used at public or private schools.  that puts more money in private schooling.
