With 20 years of professional experience, she has designed a broad range of stormwater and flood plain management facilities. Ms. Nelson holds a BS in engineering from Widener University Widener University is a private, coeducational university located in Chester, Pennsylvania. Its main campus sits on 108 acres (.44 km²), just 14 miles south of Philadelphia. .
