Volantis and UIEvolution Partner to Offer Flexible Platform for Rich Media Mobile Content.


BARCELONA, Spain -- Volantis, the world's leading supplier of Intelligent Content Adaptation Content Adaptation is the action of transforming content to adapt to device capabilities. Content adaptation is usually related to mobile devices that require special handling because of their limited computational power, small screen size and constrained keyboard functionality. The joint effort will allow wireless carriers and media content providers to deliver enhanced services and expand their subscriber base by deploying a WAP/client solution.

The combined rich media offering leverages Volantis' Mobile Content Framework[TM] - the mobile industry's most broadly deployed content delivery platform, launched by more than 25 carriers worldwide - and mobile client technology from UIEvolution. The UIEvolution client technology is certified and deployed at scale across all top-tier mobile operators as well as set-top boxes, portable media players and other embedded devices.

The two companies also announced UIEvolution's participation in Volantis' GetBuzz Partner Program, to enhance the delivery of its BuzzCast[TM] personalized news and entertainment application.
