Voith Paper, Heidenheim, Germany said Voith Paper Manchester has recently invested in a state-of-the-art service center dedicated to fiber systems and equipment, currently the only center of its kind in the United Kingdom. This follows a restructuring of the service facilities offered to its UK customers. Covering both in-house and on-site service, the new operation will assist customers with all aspects of maintenance, repair, and upgrades to stock preparation plants, whether supplied by Voith or alternative sources. During the test the paper machine ran for over 28 hours at 1700meters/min. Following this, the speed was increased for another two hours to 1740 meters/min. The result was notable, with only two sheet breaks, no loss of quality, and trouble-free threading. |
