Voith Paper expands service facility, starts up new machine.


Voith The Voith AG which is headquartered in Germany, is a family-run corporation in the mechanical engineering sector with worldwide operations.

 Paper Company, Spokane, WA, successfully started up its new Voith No. 5 paper machine, in April 2001. The machine order was originally awarded to Beloit Corporation. In April 2000, Inland placed an order with Voith Paper to design and construct a complete paper machine wet end. The order stipulated that the new equipment would work with the installed dry end and fit into the building space and foundations that were already in place. The new 250-inch (6370-mm) wide machine will operate at 5000 fpm, producing newsprint newsprint

low grade paper used for newspapers. Old newspapers are fed to cattle as an alternative roughage and may occasionally be ingested by dogs. Significant amounts of lead are accumulated in tissues; no cases of poisoning have been recorded in cattle, though it has been
