VoiceGenie offers myvoiceGenie. (New Products).VoiceGenie Technologies Inc., a provider of voice XML XML in full Extensible Markup Language. Markup language developed to be a simplified and more structural version of SGML. It incorporates features of HTML (e.g., hypertext linking), but is designed to overcome some of HTML's limitations. (VXML See VoiceXML. ) gateway solutions, recently announced MyVoiceGenie, a PC-based software designed for the Windows XP Operating System that allows users to run VXML applications on their desktop computers -- without a telephone. Coupled with VoiceGenie's Genie IDE, a development environment for developing, managing and deploying VXML applications, MyVoiceGenie aims to be an easy and fast solution for developing VXML applications. MyVoiceGenie enables ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) Using voice recognition to replace keypad entry for telephone voice menus. Typically used to speak the digits 0 through 9 insted of keying them, ASR systems may be able to recognize a limited vocabulary. See voice recognition and AVSR. (automatic speech recognition) and TTS (1) See text-to-speech. (2) (Transaction Tracking System) Software that monitors a transaction until completion. In the event of a hardware or software failure, it ensures that the database is brought back to its former state before the attempt to (text-to-speech) provided by the Microsoft SAPI (Speech API) A programming interface from Microsoft for speech recognition and synthesis. It provides a way for developers to enable their applications to receive text from and send text to voice devices. 1. 5.1 software. The 0.9 beta version of MyVoiceGenie allows developers to avoid the costs associated with ASR and TTS through the software's compatibility with Microsoft's free ASR and TTS that come installed with Windows XP.
