Vodafone to Ship Handset to Enable GPS-based Navigation Overseas.Tokyo, Japan, Sept 9, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Vodafone announced on September 7 the early October launch of the Vodafone 903T, the world's first 3G handset capable of network-assisted GPS navigation both in Japan and abroad. Made by Toshiba, the handset features a 2.4-inch QVGA (Quarter VGA) A screen resolution of 320x240 pixels, which is used on handheld devices. Although 320x240 seems half the 640x480 VGA resolution, the "quarter" comes from the total number of pixels, which is one fourth the number (320 times 240=76800; 640 times 480=307200). (240x320 pixels) LCD and a 1.29-megapixel auto-focus mobile camera. The 903T measures 50x111x25mm and weighs 149g. It supports continuous talk times of 180 minutes in W-CDMA See WCDMA. and 320 minutes in GSM, and stanby times of 400 and 270 hours, respectively.
