VocalTec Communications to Provide VoIP Solutions to a Governmental Telecom Organization in India.


HERZLIA, Israel -- VocalTec Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: VOCL VOCL Vault Online Career Library ), a leading global provider of carrier-class multimedia and voice-over-IP solutions for communication service providers, today announced its first purchase order from a Governmental Telecom Organization in India as part of the organization's intention to present VocalTec's Essentra(TM) product family to customers in India.

The Essentra(TM) suite of solutions provides proven trunking, peering, access gateway and service delivery solutions that enable flexible deployment of next-generation networks (NGNs), enabling the smooth migration of voice networks from TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) A technology that transmits multiple signals simultaneously over a single transmission path. Each lower-speed signal is time sliced into one high-speed transmission.  to ATM and IP.
