Former Level 3 Senior Exec and West Point Grad Brings Decade of Telecom Experience to Growing Leadership Team

FOSTER CITY, Calif. -- VoEX, Inc., a major VoIP managed-service provider, today announced the appointment of Brent Bourne as the company's chief operating officer. VoEX is expanding its executive team as it builds out its senior management team to support planned growth efforts in 2007 with their global voice services offerings for top-tier carriers, mobile operators, cable operators, voice service providers, universities, call centers and enterprises.

As COO, Bourne will play a key role in maintaining and improving operational efficiencies as the company drives toward greater network and organizational scalability. He will also support the company's continued network build-out, its industry-leading quality of service, and the continued implementation of innovative VoIP peering and applications services.

Bourne brings to VoEX 10 years' experience in network design and development, first with Thomson Consumer Electronics and more recently as senior vice president for VoIP and soft-switch Access Management engineering at Level 3 Communications. Previously, he served as captain in the U.S. Army with responsibility for managing an air defense artillery battalion of nearly 400 personnel based in Germany.
