Vitts Networks Names Edward F. McKenna Vice President of Network Engineering; Senior Engineering Talent Spearheads Expansion of Vitts' Advanced IP Network.

Vitts Networks, a premier provider of high-speed Internet communications and enterprise networking services, announced that Edward F. McKenna has been named vice president of network engineering to spearhead the company's advanced Internet Protocol (IP) network expansion as well as oversee the design and testing of new managed services delivered through the network.

Vitts has been expanding their business and network operations throughout the Northeast along with increasing the capacity of their Protected Service Network (PSN) to handle a burgeoning commercial customer base with diverse Internet and networking needs. The company's ultimate plan calls for its offerings of managed Internet services to cover a 13-state area along the eastern seaboard from Maine to Virginia.

McKenna, who has over 15 years of technology experience, including 10 years in the networking industry, was formerly with Cabletron Systems as director of software engineering responsible for software development, product management, quality assurance and technical publications. In another position, as manager of systems integration responsible for service provider solutions, his team used, tested and merged new technologies into the company's solutions for its customers, including Vitts. McKenna has also held engineering development positions at Lockheed and Raytheon.
