AHIM has received approval from China's Ministry of Health to develop the first private joint-venture specialty hospital in Beijing, the Beijing International Heart Hospital (BIHH). BIHH will become China's first foreign-owned and managed cardiovascular hospital in China's capital city. China's Ministry of Health issued BIHH its business license in December 2001, and BIHH is planned to be operational by the third quarter of 2003.
