Vital, Inc. Announces CRiSP Version 6.0 Setting the Standard in Universal Editing Environments.


PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 18, 1998--Vital, Inc. today announced the newest release of their leading programmer's editor, CRiSP version 6.0.

With the release of version 6.0, CRiSP is setting universal editing standards. CRiSP's editing environments span across all Unix and Windows platforms, resulting in increased development productivity for multi-platform development.

What's New in CRiSP v.6.0:

-- Outlining, CodeFolding, Nested Selective Display: Provides

facility for collapsing or hiding text within a buffer. Various

ways of collapsing the buffer include: showing/functions/sections

only, lines matching/not-matching a string, paragraphs, comments,

and pre-processor directives.

-- Dynamic Tags, Class Browser, Source Code Browser: Allows you to

view both members and inherited members at once. You now have the

ability to define a search filter as well as view code hierarchy,

enabled, creates a lock-file in a global directory when you

attempt to modify a file. A display box informs you if there is

currently a lock and lets you know who, where and when the file

was edited. This gives you the option of stealing the lock or

denying the file changes.

-- Contents Window: A table-of-contents style window within the edit

area allows you to see bookmarks, links or sections in a tree

style fashion. This allows quick navigation and at-a-glance

summaries of the state of your editing environment.
