:VFRT) Monday announced that A-1 International and U R What U Eat distributors will supply its premier product, Fudgets all-natural, fat-free brownies, to an additional 700 supermarkets and drugstores throughout Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. U R What U Eat, which currently supplies Fudgets to 175 independent and chain supermarkets and drugstores including 30 Hughes markets, 15 Smith's stores and 25 Thrifty/Payless stores, will expand its distribution to eventually reach all of its 700 retail accounts in Southern California.

"We're right on track with Phase Two of the Fudgets national rollout into key retail chains," said Mark Beychok, president of Vitafort International. "We attribute this early response to the great taste of Fudgets, and consumer feedback saying they taste like full-fat brownies."

According to John Engelson, president of U R What U Eat, Fudgets have been selling rapidly from a special fat-free product rack in 175 stores. "Consumer response has been very positive, and they are the strongest sellers on the rack," Engelson said.

Fudgets are currently available at natural food stores and grocery store chains across the country. The brownies will also be available in more than 1,100 Circle K convenience stores by January 1995.

Made from all natural ingredients, Fudgets contain no preservatives preservatives,
