VICC Voltage-Independent Calcium Channel (physiology) ) has contracted the services of Dr. Harry Fechter effective Aug. 15, 2002.
Fetcher's primary responsibility will be to research and evaluate new uses and applications for rare earth elements found to be present in Vista's mining concessions in Peru. Preliminary sampling of the gravels contained in the concessions has indicated the presence of gold, rare earths and zirconium zirconium (zərkō`nēəm), metallic chemical element; symbol Zr; at. no. 40; at. wt. 91.22; m.p. about 1,852°C;; b.p. 4,377°C;; sp. gr. 6.5 at 20°C;; valence +2, +3, or +4. oxides.
Fechter is a graduate of Stanford University in physics and electrical-microwave engineering. He is best known for his pioneering researches establishing the Charge Structure of Heavy Nuclei (Thesis) with Nobel Laureate Robert Hofstadter.
Fechter is the co-discoverer of two sub-atomic particles, the Rho and the Eta.
Fechter's academic experience includes professorships and associate positions in physics and electrical engineering at Purdue University, University of Washington and the University of Wisconsin.
