Robb (Nora Roberts) adds another volume to her prolific, futuristic In Death series starring New York Police Lieutenant Eve Dallas and her trustworthy sidekick, Peabody. A series of murders is experienced simultaneously by a psychic and a doubting Eve reluctantly brings her into the investigation. Someone is killing young women with medium-length brown hair and posing their bodies with a red ribbon around their necks and their hands arranged in prayer. Eve and Peabody come to the rescue.

Ericksen has read all the Brilliance productions of this series with excellence. Eve, a fearless rule-breaker, is balanced perfectly by the pragmatic Peabody. While the series is fairly predictable--Eve will defy authority, have a couple of detailed lovemaking scenes with her sexy, enigmatic Irish husband, and flash back to the abuse she suffered as a child--it's still interesting enough to capture attention.
