About VisionMOBILE

VisionMOBILE provides law enforcement and fire personnel with "silent dispatch" functionality and wireless access to a wide range of mission-critical crime information. With VisionMOBILE, law enforcement and fire personnel can receive 911 dispatches from a laptop computer instead of a radio. Incoming call data is transferred from the dispatch center to the officer's laptop automatically and silently, which saves time and provides an element of privacy and security. Officers can then provide immediate status updates to the dispatch system such as "enroute" or "on-scene" with the push of a button. In addition, officers can run their own National Criminal Information Computer (NCIC NCIC National Crime Information Center
NCIC National Cancer Institute of Canada
NCIC North Carolina Industrial Commission
NCIC National Cartographic Information Center
NCIC National Cancer Information Center (American Cancer Society)
) and State Crime Information Systems queries to obtain valuable information regarding persons, vehicles, properties and addresses, rather than calling back to the department and waiting for research to be conducted. Officers can also use the laptops to communicate with other VisionMOBILE users.
