Vishay Releases New Low-Impedance, High-Voltage, Dual-Supply SPST and SPDT Analog Switches.

Compact Devices Offer Maximum On-Resistance Down to 10 Ohms, Flatness of 2.6 Ohms or Lower, and +/-15-V Analog Signal Range

) today released five new low-impedance, high-voltage analog switches with on-resistance as low as 10 ohms for audio, video, and data switching applications.

The new devices include the dual-supply single-pole/single-throw (SPST SPST Single Pole, Single Throw (type of electrical switch)
SPST Societe pour la Promotion de la Science et de la Technologie (Montreal, Canada)
SPST Senior Public Safety Telecommunicator
SPST Same Place Same Time
) DG467, DG468, DG447, and DG448 and the single-pole/double-throw (SPDT SPDT Single Pole, Double Throw
SPDT Single Point Diamond Turning (precision lathe used in optical fabrication)
SPDT Shadow Page Directory Table
) DG449.

By combining extremely low on-resistance (10 ohms for the DG467 and DG468 and 25 ohms for the DG447 and DG448) and low leakages with a compact size, the devices are also ideally suited as improved drop-in replacements for MAX4647, MAX4648, and MAX4649 analog switches.

Typical applications will include high-speed, low-error switching, routing, and data acquisition in precision test equipment, instrumentation, communications systems, PBX (Private Branch eXchange) An inhouse telephone switching system that interconnects telephone extensions to each other as well as to the outside telephone network (PSTN).  and PABX (Private Automatic Branch eXchange) Same as PBX.

systems, audio equipment, relay replacement, redundant telecom systems, PC multimedia boards, and hard disc drives.

The DG447 and DG467 SPST switches are normally closed, while the DG448 and DG468 SPST switches are normally open. The DG449 is an SPDT switch with one normally open contact and one normally closed contact. The devices operate either from a single +7-V to 36-V supply or from dual +/-4.5-V to +/-20-V supplies.

The SPDT DG449 is optimized for switching video in board- and system-level devices. With its 38-ohm on-resistance, it reduces the switching losses to less than 0.5 dB and eliminates the need to adjust op amp gain settings.

All the devices provide a wide +/-15-V analog signal range and offer simple interfacing by not requiring a VL logic supply. The devices feature rail-to-rail signal handling and are TTL (1) (Time To Live) A parameter in a network packet that sets a time limit to its validity. In order to prevent an IP packet from propagating endlessly through the network, the value in the TTL field is reduced by each router.  and CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) Pronounced "c-moss." The most widely used integrated circuit design. It is found in almost every electronic product from handheld devices to mainframes.  input compatible.
