Virtutech Names John Lambert Chief Executive Officer; Founder Peter S. Magnusson Assumes CTO Role.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Virtutech, Inc., the leading provider of full system simulation technology for the development and testing of software for advanced electronic systems, today announced the appointment of John Lambert as chief executive officer of Virtutech, Inc. Founder Peter S. Magnusson will retain an active role on the company's board of directors and will oversee all technology innovation as its chief technology officer. The expanded executive management team reflects Virtutech's strategy to accelerate global sales, distribution and strategic partnerships, while advancing the technological foundation that has led to the company's explosive growth.

Mr. Lambert joins Virtutech from Moonlight Systems, a start up focusing on enterprise-IT software for data center automation solutions, where he served as president and CEO from 2003 until its acquisition by PatchLink Corporation. Prior to that, Mr. Lambert was an early-stage employee at Rational Software, where he served in a variety of sales and engineering management roles for 15 years in both the United Kingdom and in the United States. As Vice President and General Manager of Developer Solutions at Rational, Mr. Lambert's responsibilities included the Purify product family and the Apex software engineering environment business. Mr. Lambert received his D.Phil in computer science from the University of Sussex and a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from Brighton Polytechnic.
