Virtus Corp. Supports Microsoft DirectX in Tom Clancy SSN CD-ROM Based Submarine Game.

Virtus Corporation, the leader in interactive 3-D authoring tools, announced today that Microsoft Corp.'s DirectX(TM) technology was used to ease hardware compatibility issues as part of the development of the submarine strategy game, Tom Clancy For the member of the Irish folk band The Clancy Brothers, see Tom Clancy (singer) and for the American Celticist, see Thomas Owen Clancy.

Tom Clancy SSN is an innovative CD-ROM-based submarine combat game. Taking the role of submarine commander, players conduct simulated submarine battles in a unique cinematic environment that is enhanced by 3-D-rendered graphics.
