VimpelCom Selects Nokia GPRS Solution for Mobile Internet Services.

HELSINKI, Finland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 28, 2000

Nokia and VimpelCom, a leading GSM network operator in Russia have signed an agreement for the supply of the Nokia General Packet Radio Service (GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) The first high-speed digital data service provided by cellular carriers that used the GSM technology.
