Viisage Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: VISG), the leader in face-recognition technology and identification systems and solutions, today announced the introduction of the ImageCAM(TM).

ImageCAM, the only one of its kind in the drivers' license and identification industry, is a secure video camera for the creation of high-quality picture identification cards. It consists of a 24-bit CCD color video camera assembly, a telescoping mounting rod, and a tabletop mounting base. Captured images are transmitted to a host computer via an RS-232 communications interface for card printing or digital computer processing and analysis. All image capture is accomplished through the keyboard for ease-of-use.

Viisage's ImageCAM features auto-focus and auto-zoom. An optional 8 bit gray scale camera provides signature capture. The system includes vertical retrace synchronization to provide real-time feedback to control illumination and camera positioning.

Viisage's technology is already used to produce more than 25 million digital identification documents in more than 1,200 locations in 15 states and throughout the world. The company owns a significant share of the digital drivers' license market and plays a large role in the law enforcement and social services markets.
