Vigor Gaming Announces New Desktop Gaming System Based on Intel's Core 2 Extreme QX6800 Processor.

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. -- Vigor Gaming Computer, a developer of custom gaming rigs and high end peripherals, today announced the release of its Force Recon QXN gaming system. The announcement comes in tandem with Intel's formal release of its Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad QX6800 processor today.

Vigor Gaming's Force Recon QXN features Intel's Core 2 Extreme QX6800 quad-core processor, which can easily handle numerous tasks simultaneously. The new Intel processor is made up of four separate processing cores in a single package. This increases the multitasking ability because the CPU CPU

The Vigor Force Recon QXN base model will come standard with an Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad QX6800 at 2.93GHz, 1066MHz FSB (FrontSide Bus) See system bus.

The CPU is mounted to an Asus P5N32-E-SLI motherboard with NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI (Scalable Link Interface) A multi-GPU interface from NVIDIA for connecting two or four NVIDIA display adapters together for faster graphics rendering on one monitor or two monitors.  Quad Core ready chipset. Vigor also utilizes the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX video card with 768MB DDR3 575MHz and DVI and TV input.

Standard memory and storage includes 1GB of Corsair DDR2 800 MHz memory (2 X 512MB); a pair of WD Raptor 150GB SATA (Serial ATA) A serial version of the ATA (IDE) interface, which has been the de facto standard hard disk interface for desktop PCs for more than two decades. Vigor tackles system cooling by using its patented Monsoon II TEC (Thermal-Electric Chip) CPU cooling system. By utilizing this system, Vigor has achieved the same efficient cooling required by this processor without the worries of liquid cooling.
