View all three SAN protocols with GTX 4.0.

Finisar Systems has announced the availability of the GTX GTX Gore-Tex
GTX Global TeleExchange
GTX Grand Tourisme Extra
4.0 multi-protocol analyzer for SANs the latest addition to the GTX family of SAN protocol analysis tools. It is designed specifically for R&D developers, test engineers, and design QA engineers. It features new capabilities including iSCSI triggers and analysis and the ability to view all three storage area networking (SAN) protocols with just one viewer.

Multiple protocol support includes all three protocols--iSCSI, Fibre Channel, InfiniBand--in one viewer. A spreadsheet GTX-style format viewer allows for easy identification by existing Finisar users. The new trace viewer also enables faster response for large traces and more decodes, and is backwards compatible See backward compatible.

GTX SANMetrics portion of GTX 4.0 provides performance measurements for every aspect and behavior of Fibre Channel and SCSI traces. Its expert-level analysis and debugging facilities help find protocol and performance anomalies.

The GTX 4.0 feature set also includes a new iSCSI (v. 9) analyzer, trace viewer, and trace control; enhanced Fibre Channel protocol decode support; cut and paste To move an object from one location to another. A new protocol analyzer also triggers and captures GbE packets: IP, TCP (1) (Transmission Control Protocol) The reliable transport protocol within the TCP/IP protocol suite. Finisar Corp. deals in fiber optic subsystems and network performance test systems that enable high-speed data communications over GbE local area networks (LANs), Fibre Channel SANs, and metropolitan area networks (MANs). They focus on the application of digital fiber optics fiber optics, transmission of digitized messages or information by light pulses along hair-thin glass fibers. Each fiber is surrounded by a cladding having a high index of refractance so that the light is internally reflected and travels the length of the fiber  to provide a broad line of high-performance, reliable, value-added optical subsystems for networking and storage equipment manufacturers.
