Seven holes totaling 4850 metres were drilled to follow-up, the previously announced, hole OC-36 which intersected high grade gold in the RJR zone (25.9 metres grading 10.4 g/t gold). All of the new holes intersected a very broad zone of dolomitized and brecciated limestone cut by numerous silica flooded zones. Anomalous gold occurs throughout the alteration and breccia zone with values up to 1.175 g/t gold over 39.6 metres in RJR-3 and 1.58 g/t gold over 22.3 metres in RJR-4. Due to the size and intensity of the system, along with the zonation zo·na·tion

feeder zone that is the possible source of the high grade breccia zone encountered in hole OC-36.

The RJR alteration and mineralized zone is at least 600 metres long, 215 metres wide and at least 600 metres deep. It lies beneath an extensive 150 metre thick calcite halo located 150 metres below surface. Below the calcite halo is a strong decalcification decalcification /de·cal·ci·fi·ca·tion/ (de-kal?si-fi-ka´shun)

, earlier sulfides. These earlier sulfides have been transported in the fluidized breccias and cross cut the thick dolomite zones and are therefore thought to represent leakage zones from deeper in the system, which further supports the belief that the primary target is at depth.

Due to the size of the RJR system, the extensive alteration zones that may have acted as thick capping zones, and the cross-cutting fluidized breccias carrying gold into the upper part of the system, Victoria plans on drilling a second phase of drill holes beyond the dolomite zone to test for a silica-network, more gold rich portion of the system at depth. In addition, more drilling will be done to define the shape of the breccias intersected in OC-36.
New results are summarized as follows.

Drill core is logged, photographed and cut in half with a diamond saw on site. One half of the HQ diameter core is shipped to BSI-Inspectorate Laboratory in Reno, Nevada. Analysis by BSI BSI - British Standards Institute  Labs includes gold fire assay with atomic absorption (AA) and gold fire assay with gravimetric analysis on all samples grading greater than 3.0 grams per tonne gold. Victoria uses certified control standards, duplicates and coarse field blanks inserted into the sample stream to the lab to monitor lab performance. The qualified person under National Instrument 43-101 is Tom Garagan, P.Geo.
