The mine is slated for construction in 2006. De Beers plans to upgrade the winter road between Moosonee Moosonee (m  `sənē), village, NE Ont., Canada, on the Moose River near James Bay. It is the northern terminus of the Ontario Northland RR and Ontario's only saltwater port. and Attawapiskat to facilitate the transport of double-lined fuel tanks, steel for permanent tanks and fuel to the mine site.
