Vertical Machining Center Features 30-hp Spindle.

YCI YCI Youth Challenge International  Supermax, Santa Fe Springs, California Santa Fe Springs (Santa Fe meaning "Holy Faith") is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. It is one of the Gateway Cities of southeast Los Angeles County. The population was 17,438 at the 2000 census. , has introduced the FV105A vertical machining center for high-production job shop and high-precision applications.

The mid-size vertical machining center features a high-speed 20,000-rpm, 30-hp spindle, allowing it to perform both rough cutting and finished cutting at the same spindle. With its high-speed cutting feed rates, the machining center can cut a range of material from aluminum to titanium. In addition, the machine's speed and versatility can provide a significant increase in production by cutting the cycle time in half.

The center's unique heavy-duty body structure combines both linear and box ways for speed and rigidity. The X and Y axes feature new THK THK Thick

NR linear guide ways, while the Z axis features hardened and ground box ways. This construction allows for a higher level of precision. The rugged Meehanite body casting and precision-hardened and ground pre-loaded ball screws are direct coupled to the servo motors for increased reliability.

Additional standard equipment includes oil/air mist spindle bearings lubrication lubrication, introduction of a substance between the contact surfaces of moving parts to reduce friction and to dissipate heat. A lubricant may be oil, grease, graphite, or any substance—gas, liquid, semisolid, or solid—that permits free action of , a full alphanumeric keyboard, spindle and cutting air blast system, full chips and coolant coolant (kōō´lnt),
