RCA Records was founded in 1901 as the Victor Talking Machine Company, and the RCA initials stand for Radio Corporation of America, which was the parent corporation in the pre-BMG days.  artist Vertical Horizon is set to release "Go", their first new album since the multi-platinum success of "Everything You Want." John M. Shanks is a well known rock music guitarist, writer and producer.

Born in New York City, Shanks moved to Los Angeles when he was 17.
, the album features 12 new songs, including the premiere single "I'm Still Here". In its first week at radio, the new single was #1 most Added with 30 adds. The album arrives in stores September 23rd. As prelude to the release, the band will headline a string of midsummer concerts (see below for itinerary).

Comprised of lead singer, guitarist and songwriter Matt Scannell, guitarist Keith Kane, bassist Sean Hurley Sean Hurley (1897-1961) was an Irish Sinologist who spent the years 1905 to 1915 in China and the first Irish man to obtain a Chinese passport. Early years

, and drummer Ed Toth, Vertical Horizon enjoyed enormous success with their RCA See RCA connector and video/TV history.  debut "Everything You Want". The double-platinum-selling album yielded three singles, including the title track, which became the most played song on Top 40 radio reaching #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 and Adult Top 40 charts. The song won one Radio Music Award and two Billboard Music Awards, while the band went on to win a Billboard Music Video Award for Best New Artist Modern Rock Video (for "You're a God").

Of "Go", Scannell says, "Most of these songs have to do with taking steps, doing the things you want to do, experiencing what you need to, both positive and negative. It's about living your life."
