eWMS v3.5.1 functionality benefits several industries including Third Party Logistics (3PL). Many 3PL customers have diverse needs; their systems must be robust and flexible enough to meet these varied requirements. eWMS is designed to support the on-going needs of 3PL companies with multi-owner, multi-warehouse capability, a robust billing module, and flexible invoice generation. eWMS v3.5.1 has enhanced billing capabilities with the addition of multiple, split-month billing options. Additional functionality provided in v3.5.1 includes increased lot traceability and business processes that require distribution by lot number/pallet ID, which will equip Vertex's customers with even greater capabilities when managing logistics services in industries that require a higher level of lot/pallet control. Other major features enhanced by v3.5.1 are: added "canned" reporting and label application capabilities, and the availability of eWMS on Microsoft SQL Server A relational DBMS from Microsoft that is a major component of the Windows Server System. It is Microsoft's high-end client/server database and is closely integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio and the Microsoft Office System. .

"The Vertex value proposition is to deliver supply-chain execution systems in a collaborative environment with maximum portability...our JAVA initiative allows us to deliver on our vision," stated Robert Schilt, Chief Technology Officer, Vertex Interactive. "The Vertex eSuite is available on Oracle, DB2, and now Microsoft SQL Server. Future releases will address the LINUX operating system operating system (OS)

and clearly establish the Vertex eSuite as one of the industry's most portable systems."

"Vertex eWMS v3.5.1 meets large-and mid-sized companies' growing need to collaborate electronically with customers and trading partners," said Steve Smith, President, PBDS. "Strategic collaboration is well-served by eWMS functionality...its portability...its open architecture & design...its multi-multi capability...its value proposition."

"When you analyze a Company's investment in their supply chain solutions, the expenditure can be quite significant," added Schilt. "Providing systems that are portable across disparate environments (operating system and database) protects a company's investment now and for many years to come. The Vertex eSuite are strategic solutions, not tactical systems."
