Vernier Networks Demonstrates Trusted Network Connect Capabilities at InteropLabs' Network Access Control Initiative.

LAS VEGAS -- Standards-Based Interoperability With TCG's Trusted Network Connect Demonstrates Vernier's Inline NAC Enforcement Without Custom Integration

Vernier Networks today announced it will demonstrate interoperability with the Trusted Computing Group's (TCG) Trusted Network Connect (TNC) architecture at the InteropLabs' (iLabs) Network Access Control initiative. As a member of TNC, Vernier will showcase its award-winning EdgeWall appliance in the demonstration.

Leveraging the open standards approach of TNC, Vernier's appliance can operate within heterogeneous TNC architecture deployments as a Policy Enforcement Point (PEP) without any custom or proprietary integration. Vernier's EdgeWall implementation in this demonstration exemplifies the power and flexibility of supporting an open standards-based approach.

Network Access Control takes into account the permeable nature of today's networks and provides real-time protection from internal and external threats. The Trusted Network Connect's open and standards-based non-proprietary architecture leverages a number of established and emerging standards from IEEE and the IETF including IEEE 802.1x, EAP, and RADIUS. Using these approaches, access to an enterprise's vital IT infrastructure can be controlled based on a wide variety of policy information including the identity of the device, the identity of the user and the current state of the device.

The Network Access Control Initiative iLab will show how multiple vendor's solutions can be used together to provide network access control based on the integrity of the protective software running on the requesting endpoint. The Vernier TNC demo can be viewed in booth #2506. Vernier's NAC solutions will be on display in booth #1955 at the Interop, taking place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, May 2-May 4, 2006.
