Veridian Awarded $11.18 Million Task Order by U.S. Army; Company to provide IT Services to Military District of Washington, D.C.

:VNX) today announced that the U.S. Army has awarded the company an $11.18 million, fixed-priced task order under their Total Engineering and Integration Services (TEIS TEIS Endocrinology A clinical trial–Troglitazone and Exogenous Insulin Study comparing troglitazone with a placebo in Pts with poorly controlled type 2 DM. See Troglitazone. ) contract to install, integrate, and test a new data network for the Military District of Washington The Military District of Washington (MDW) is one of nineteen major commands of the United States Army. Its headquarters are located at Fort McNair in Washington, D.C.  D.C. The work will be performed for Fort Belvoir, Fort Meyer, and Fort McNair in support of the project manager, the Defense Communications and Army Switched Systems.

Veridian has extensive experience supporting Installation, Information, Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP I3MP Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program ) efforts -- currently providing I3MP support in engineering, drafting, and quality control to the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command. "Our work will support increased connectivity among these three Army installations and help the three installations to improve their efficiency," said Scott Goss, president of Veridian's IT Services Division. "We are pleased to continue our long-standing support of the U.S. Army's Information Systems Engineering Command."

Additional data network and outside plant requirements for other Military District of Washington sites may be added in the future. The Military District of Washington is comprised of Forts Belvoir, McNair, Myer, AP Hill, Hamilton, Meade, and Detrick.
