Verdis Investment Management to Host The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts' Opening of Villa America: American Moderns, 1900-1950.


PHILADELPHIA -- Verdis Investment Management, an independent investment management company that advises endowments, foundations, institutions and ultra high net-worth individuals and families, announced today that they will host the opening of The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts' Villa America: American Moderns, 1900-1950 exhibition. Verdis Investment Management is located in suburban Philadelphia.

The exhibition, which comes from the collection of Myron Kunin, former chairman of the Regis Corporation Regis Corporation is the largest hair salon chain in the world, with over 11,000 salons (including both company-owned and franchises), it is ranked 778 on the Fortune 1000. , contains artwork from notable artists of the early 20th century including Georgia O'Keeffe Georgia Totti O'Keeffe (November 15, 1887—March 6,1986) was an American artist. She is typically associated with the American Southwest and particularly New Mexico where she settled late in life. O'Keeffe has been a major figure in American art since the 1920s. , Stuart Davis, Arthur Dove, Romare Bearden, Charles Sheeler, and Marsden Hartley. The opening reception of Villa America, which is by invitation only, will take place on Thursday, September 28, 2006 in the Academy's Samuel M.V. Hamilton building. The exhibition showcases more than 80 paintings and sculptures that explore the evolution of American art through masterpieces of America's foremost artists of the first half of the 20th century.
