The custom-made Philips video screen will feature a brilliant, colorful 2,739-square-foot image. It will measure 39 ft. 5 in. high by 69 ft. 7 in. wide (480 x 848 pixels See pixel.  with pixels on 25mm spacing with a SmoothPix(C) feature), which is taller than the William Penn statue atop of City Hall (37 ft.) and wider than the distance between the pitcher's mound and home plate (60 ft. 6 in.). It will be mounted on a structure in the ballpark's left field with installation scheduled to be substantially completed early in 2004.

The location of the Philips display board at Citizens Bank Park will provide fans with high-quality images that result from extensive research and development of state-of-the-art technology by Philips. Similar Philips powered LED display boards are featured at major sports and entertainment venues throughout Europe. VMagic products powered by Philips are making their initial installations this year in ballparks, stadiums, arenas and other recreation facilities.

In addition, Venue 1's VMagic division has been awarded a contract to supply and install a smaller state-of-the-art Philips LED video display board for the new 7,000-seat ballpark being constructed by the Phillies and the City of Clearwater, FL, and scheduled to open in 2004. The LED screen will be 14 ft. 5 in. high by 21 feet wide (176 x 256 pixels with pixels on 25mm spacing) and will be located in left field in the new Clearwater Community Sports Complex and Phillies Spring Training Facility, US Route 19 near Drew St.
