DNA
 or deoxyribonucleic acid

One of two types of nucleic acid (the other is RNA); a complex organic compound found in all living cells and many viruses. It is the chemical substance of genes.
 

Velasquez v. Woods, 329 F.3d 420 (5th Cir. 2003). A prisoner brought a civil rights action challenging the collection of a DNA sample by prison officials, as part of registration for a DNA database pursuant to state law. The district court dismissed the complaint as frivolous Of minimal importance; legally worthless.

A frivolous suit is one without any legal merit. In some cases, such an action might be brought in bad faith for the purpose of harrassing the defendant.
