Vantive Names Larry Westphal Vice President of Sales.
The Vantive Corporation (Nasdaq:VNTV), a leader in the customer relationship management software market, today announced the appointment of Larry Westphal to vice president of North American sales.
Westphal has more than 19 years experience in managing and building sales organizations throughout the United States. At Vantive, he will oversee the North American sales organization, and will report to Phillip Dunkelberger, president and chief operating officer.
"Larry is results driven and has proven time and time again that he can drive large sales organizations to achieve outstanding results," said Dunkelberger. "We are happy to have him join Vantive to capture the huge opportunity our market offers."
Before joining Vantive, Westphal served as regional vice president at Lucent Technologies' Octel Messaging Division, where he managed the sales operations for the western 20 states and more than $250 million in revenue. Prior to joining Octel, he served as vice president of national accounts and vice president of marketing services at Applied Voice Technologies, a leading enterprise communications vendor in Seattle.
Westphal has also held sales management positions at Syntellect, Rolm/IBM and NCR. Westphal began his career with Xerox Corporation where he held several sales positions.
