Vantive Awarded SSPA STAR Award for Excellence in Internet Support; Vantive Empowers Own Customers with Web-Based Customer Relationship Management Solution.

The Vantive Corporation (Nasdaq:VNTV), a leader in the customer relationship management (CRM) software market, today announced it was awarded a STAR award by the Software Support Professionals Association (SSPA) for its delivery of electronic support to its customers over the Internet. Vantive's Self-Service Web site is located at http://support.vantive.com and is available for use by all Vantive customers.

The SSPA's recognition of Vantive's own customer support Web site built on Vantive's Web Self-Service Application -- underscores the success of Vantive's products, which are used by more than 800 customers around the world to improve and maximize customer relationships. With version 8.0, Vantive began offering customers its Web Self-Service Application. The product has allowed numerous companies to build highly interactive and powerful Web sites to support customers, as evidenced by the implementation Vantive offers to its own customers at http://support.vantive.com. Customers can create and update cases, search a wealth of information in Vantive's online knowledgebase, check course schedules and availability, chat with support engineers, participate in customer newsgroups, download software and documentation, and more.
