Vantis Announces Synopsys FPGA/CPLD Synthesis Support for Its MACH and VF1 Families.

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 7, 1998-- Vantis, an AMD company, today announced the availability of synthesis support for its MACH CPLD families and VF1 FPGA Series with Synopsys' FPGA Express and FPGA Compiler II, version 3.0 FPGA/CPLD synthesis tools. Synopsys' recently announced version 3.0 supports the entire line of Vantis FPGAs and CPLDs with Vantis-specific design flows. These are the first available synthesis tools in production to offer support for the VF1 Series FPGAs. Through close cooperation, both Vantis and Synopsys have delivered a complete solution for Vantis designers that leverages Synopsys' advanced FPGA and CPLD synthesis solutions.

Designers can combine these capabilities with powerful new features in version 3.0 like Vista schematic analysis tools for viewing pre-optimized and mapped designs.
