Vanco Announces Company's New President.


HOUSTON -- Vanco Energy Company is pleased to announce the addition of staff:

John F. Imle, Jr. has recently joined Vanco Energy Company as President with Gene Van Dyke Van Dyke (or van/Van Dijk or Dyk etc) is a surname of Dutch origin. It refers to:
  • Sir Anthony van Dyck, (1599 – 1641), Flemish-born painter who lived in England
  • Barry Van Dyke (born 1951), American actor, son of Dick Van Dyke
 becoming Chairman. Imle has more than 40 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, mostly overseas. After retiring early from Unocal Corporation Union Oil Company of California, dba Unocal is a defunct company that was a major petroleum explorer and marketer beginning in the late 19th century, through the 20th century and into the early 21st century.  as vice chairman, he engaged in energy consulting, with emphasis on Asia.

Trained as a petroleum engineer, Mr. Imle has held various technical and management posts in exploration and production, including responsibility for Unocal's worldwide oil and gas operations and company president. He served on the Board of Directors for 12 years. As a senior executive, he was also responsible for international business development, primarily new ventures in emerging nations. Mr. Imle led Unocal's successful efforts in forming the AIOC AIOC Azerbaijan International Operating Company
